BARCELONA: La Liga side Elche appointed Martin Anselmi as coach on Saturday for the forthcoming season.
“The Argentine coach (and Elche) have reached a deal for him to manage the team for the 2026-27 season, with an additional campaign linked to the achievement of objectives,” said the club in a statement.
Coach Eder Sarabia resigned at the end of May after helping the team stay in the Spanish top flight, finishing 15th.
Anselmi coached Porto for around five months in 2025 after arriving from Cruz Azul in Mexico, but was sacked after the team struggled at the Club World Cup. He later coached Brazilian team Botafogo for three months.
