Copy Trading lets you automatically mirror the trades of experienced Traders on MEXC Futures — once you follow a Trader, their positions are replicated to your account in real time. AI Copy Trading extends this to Traders whose strategies are generated or executed by AI-powered systems, alongside strategies from human Traders. Learn more in our complete Copy Trade Guide.
To become a Trader on MEXC, click Become a Trader on the Copy Trade page and complete your application with the required details. The system will instantly check your eligibility — if you meet the requirements, you can register as a Trader right away and start leading trades and building your track record.
Select a preferred Trader on the Copy Trade page and click Follow, then transfer USDT into your Spot account, set your preferred copy trade amount and mode, and submit your copy trade information — MEXC will automatically mirror the Trader's positions on your behalf. For a full walkthrough with screenshots, check out our Copy Trade Tutorial.
AI Traders' trading strategies are generated or informed by algorithmic analysis, while regular Traders execute trades based on individual, manual decision-making. Both follow the same Copy Trade rules and fee structure and have access to the same risk management tools.
To qualify as a Trader, you need a minimum of 100,000 USDT in trading volume over the last 3 weeks, or at least 300 USDT in current Futures account assets. To maintain active trading status, you must keep a minimum of 50 USDT in Futures assets (including unrealized PNL), comply with the maximum leverage limits for each trading pair, and trade using Hedge Mode.
To follow a Trader, you need at least 30 USDT in your Spot account. If your balance falls below 30 USDT due to subsequent trading activity, copy trading will continue to function normally, though you won't be able to further reduce your balance through the asset adjustment feature.
Evaluate Traders using key performance indicators such as ROI, PNL, PNL Rate, and Win Rate, alongside personal preferences like trading frequency, primary trading pairs, average holding time, and average order size. The Trader Performance Comparison feature lets you view detailed metrics side by side to help you decide.
MEXC offers three flexible modes to match different risk preferences: Smart Ratio Mode, where Followers open positions using the same proportion of funds as the Trader; Fixed Amount Mode, where Followers always trade with a fixed margin amount they set; and Fixed Ratio Mode, where position size is calculated as the Trader's order size multiplied by a user-defined multiplier.
MEXC continuously expands the range of Futures trading pairs available for Copy Trading. Check the latest Copy Trade listings announcement to see which coins have been newly added and are now available to follow.
Followers can set an Account Stop-Loss (in USDT or percentage) that automatically closes all positions and cancels copy trading once losses hit the threshold. Take-Profit/Stop-Loss can be configured globally across all orders or individually per position, and a Maximum Ratio per Order caps the share of assets used in any single trade. Real-time notifications keep you informed of all copy trade activity via email, push, and in-app messages.
Beyond standard trading fees, funding fees, and profit sharing, there are no other charges. Followers can also take advantage of MEXC's ongoing 0-fee trading promotions to reduce overall trading costs further.
Profit sharing is only triggered when a Follower's assets exceed the most recent post-distribution benchmark — meaning cumulative realized PNL since the last profit share must be positive.
Example (Initial investment: 1,000 USDT, Trader's profit-share ratio: 10%):
Day 1: A 200 USDT profit triggers a 20 USDT share to the Trader. Assets: 1,180 USDT.
Day 2: A 150 USDT loss brings cumulative PNL to −150 USDT. No share applies. Assets: 1,030 USDT.
Day 3: A 100 USDT profit brings cumulative PNL to −50 USDT — still negative. Assets: 1,130 USDT.
Day 4: Another 100 USDT profit brings cumulative PNL to +50 USDT — triggering a 5 USDT share. Assets: 1,225 USDT.
Day 5+: Profit sharing resumes only once assets exceed the new benchmark of 1,225 USDT.
Final result: 1,000 + 250 (cumulative realized PNL) − 25 (total profit share) = 1,225 USDT.
