Setting Up: From USDT to a Card Number in Four Steps

You need three things: a MEXC account, Advanced KYC, and USDT to top up with.
  1. Apply for the card. Open the MEXC Card page (web: Buy Crypto → MEXC Card; app: More → MEXC Card under Finance), slide to the black-and-gold card and tap Apply Now, as set out in MEXC's application guide. Review usually completes within a few minutes, and a confirmation email follows.
  2. Get USDT into the Fiat Account. Buy through Quick Buy or P2P, transfer in from your Spot Account, or send from an external wallet.
  3. Top up the card. On the My MEXC Card page, use Deposit to move USDT onto the card. Top-ups come from the Fiat Account only, so if it shows 0 USDT the top-up fails even when your Spot Account is full. As of September 2026 the range is 1 to 1,000,000 USDT per transfer, with no fee and funds arriving within a few minutes.
  4. Open the card. The detail view shows your card number, expiry date and CVV, which is what you type at checkout. Keep them private.

A subscription checkout takes the card number, expiry date and CVV, exactly as any other Visa card.
Some forms also ask for a cardholder name and billing address, and MEXC's published guides cover only the card number, expiry date and CVV, so neither field is guessed at here.
MEXC's Transaction FAQ lists five situations where 3-D Secure verification may be required: the transaction is treated as high risk, the transaction is cross-border, it is the first transaction on the card, the amount exceeds the contactless or authentication-free limit, or local regulations such as the EU's PSD2 require it.
The one-time code arrives by email, valid for four minutes according to the code email.

That is not a reason to assume it will fail, or that it will go through.
What is documented is the funding model: the card spends only what has been loaded onto it, so an empty card pays nothing.
Failures also accumulate, and ten consecutive failed transactions trigger MEXC's risk-control system and may result in automatic card termination.
The MEXC Card (APAC) works differently, paying directly from the Fiat Account balance and supporting Google Pay only.
Until MEXC publishes on either point, keep the card funded ahead of each billing date, check the Transaction list, and pay manually if the charge never appeared.

The card bills in USD.
A subscription priced in USD therefore involves no Visa conversion at all.
A subscription priced in another currency is converted at the Visa exchange rate at settlement with no MEXC markup on top, although Visa's own rate typically carries a 0.1% to 0.3% spread that Visa applies rather than MEXC.
The final amount can differ from the checkout figure, because checkout uses an estimated rate, and if the settlement rate differs from the authorization rate an additional record for the difference may appear.
As of September 2026 the fee position on the Global Card is a 1% spending fee, waived until September 30, 2026, alongside a 0% crypto conversion fee and no markup on the Visa rate.
At the standard fee, MEXC's worked examples in its card fee documentation put a 100 USD purchase at 101 USDT deducted, and a 100 EUR purchase at an assumed Visa rate of 1.08 at 109.08 USDT deducted.

Do Subscriptions Earn Cashback?

Cashback eligibility is not decided by what a service calls itself.
It is decided by the merchant's Merchant Category Code, assigned by the payment network and the merchant's acquiring bank.
MEXC's merchant category list excludes these groups:
  • Financial services: MCC 6012, 6211, 6611, 6760
  • Cash and cash equivalents: 6010, 6011, 6050, 6051, where 6051 covers cryptocurrency exchanges and online wallets
  • Money transfers and payment services: 4829, 6529 to 6540, where 6540 covers gift-card and prepaid loads
  • Gambling and betting: 7800, 7801, 7802, 7995
  • Government payments: 9211, 9222, 9223, 9311, 9399, 9402
  • Charitable donations: 8398
  • Direct sales: 5963
Streaming, software and AI subscriptions do not appear in any of those categories.
That is not the same as saying every such merchant pays out, because the code is assigned by the network and the acquirer, and MEXC may exclude further codes or individual transactions where abuse is suspected.
Buying a gift card or topping up another wallet or prepaid card returns nothing.
Rates run at 4%, 6% or 10% by VVIP M-Score tier, with monthly caps of 100, 300 and 800 USDT, and the MEXC Card cashback tiers covers how tiers are set.
Cashback lands in USDT in your Spot Account by the 15th of the following month, on settled purchases only.
If you cancel and get refunded, the transaction is removed from the calculation and any cashback already paid is deducted.
