Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd. has announced a strategic collaboration with the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation (OHHF) to expand access to AI-powered cardiac imaging for children and adults living with congenital and childhood-onset heart disease. The partnership combines Ventripoint’s VMS+
platform, which uses artificial intelligence to provide accurate measurements of heart structure from standard echocardiograms, with OHHF’s Take Heart Collective Impact Model, a framework that unites healthcare providers, innovators, families, and social partners such as Jovie’s Joy and Ella’s Umbrella.
Under the collaboration, OHHF will initially provide financial support to place two VMS+
systems within its healthcare partner network. The initiative also includes opportunities for education, advocacy, research, technology adoption, and community engagement. Ventripoint’s technology is designed to enhance clinical decision-making and monitoring by delivering sophisticated cardiac insights from routine echocardiograms, potentially reducing the need for more invasive or costly procedures.
“Improving outcomes for people living with heart disease begins with access to accurate, timely, and affordable cardiac imaging,” said Joe Hostetter, Director of the Congenital Heart Disease Program at Ventripoint Diagnostics. “Together, we have an opportunity to expand access to advanced imaging solutions that help clinicians make more informed decisions and improve care throughout a patient’s journey.”
The partnership is rooted in the lived experiences of families who have faced challenges in getting clear answers about their children’s heart conditions. Katie Nesselbush, Founder of Jovie’s Joy, a social partner of OHHF, shared her personal perspective: “As a mother of a child living with dilated cardiomyopathy, I know firsthand the impossible decisions families can face when trying to get answers about their child’s heart. Technologies like Ventripoint give physicians more information to guide care while reducing barriers and risk for families.”
Mark Hinkle, Co-Founder of OHHF, emphasized the emotional motivation behind the collaboration: “When our son Ollie passed away at just 13 months old, we learned firsthand how quickly a child’s condition can change. We can’t change Ollie’s story, and we can’t bring Ella back. But we can honor them by ensuring more children have access to the technology, information, and treatment options they never had.”
The VMS+
platform is powered by Ventripoint’s proprietary Knowledge Based Reconstruction technology, which provides volumetric cardiac measurements comparable to MRI. The system can be used with ultrasound systems from any vendor and has regulatory approvals in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. More information about Ventripoint can be found at www.ventripoint.com.
The Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation aims to transform pediatric heart care through its collective impact model. Details about the foundation are available at www.ohhf.org. This partnership represents a step toward ensuring that more children with heart disease have access to advanced imaging technologies that can improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes.
